I don't know about this, Nylander still has a year of upgrades and can be an 86-87 player. Pickard and Marchment for TVR and Ryan is a wash. So then it's Rask, Gauthier and a 2nd for Nylander. I'm not sure if that's enough honestly.

Leafs justification is that he has other prospects in the RW slot he'd prefer to develop over Will (Marner primarily). Because of that, Nylander had slightly less value to him so he is letting him go for a package that he deems equal value. Gauthier could wind up being a good player, especially if he uses his AMPU's on him
