Again, gaining over 6M in cap space is worth losing Zadorov. He can put that towards a better player, whether it’s being able to resign his guys or getting somebody from FA. Not when you already have nearly $27M in cap space & you're below the cap floor. Have you seen Calgarys FAs? Lol

Not when you already have nearly $27M in cap space & you're below the cap floor. Have you seen Calgarys FAs? Lol Yes... but again, it's a moot point now. The first round of the draft is over, and none of Calgary's extensions have been posted, meaning that all of his UFAs walk anyways. So this was an exercise in futility that gave Shittsburgh 2 free roster players for nothing, one of which he turned around and gave away for "future considerations" (meaning nothing), and Calgary loses Gaudreau anyways, which is really the only massive contract looming since both Tkachuk & Mangiapane should be signing for less than 10M each, if both Calgary & PR are actually intelligent individuals. 🤷 Which makes this trade, and the subsequent one, absolutely pointless, and just hands their little buddies free players. That's not how this should work when other folks are out there busting their asses trying to make trades that are fair & work, while these fucking jabronies are running around handing eachother players for free in their little network of buddies, for nothing, or in this case, diddly shit, and masking as a "cap dump" when the team they're claiming to do this for isn't in cap trouble at all with almost $27M in cap space. All based on some bullshit projection that doesn't even exist yet, and won't now, cuz Calgary's now officially lost his biggest ticket player to free agency.
