If it was the NHL wouldn't allow trades like that through and yet they do... It's a loophole in the CBA... It's still cap circumvention. Its pointed out in the CBA as something that is allowed therefore it’s not a loophole lmao |

That's arrogance. It's a loophole, whether it's within the CBA itself, or created by the CBA, it's still a loophole for cap circumvention, and I've never agreed with it. I get it for rental players/expiring contracts for the playoffs, or maybe to mitigate a small cap discrepancy, but getting teams to pay your player to essentially beat them for multiple years, or vice versa, is an extremely boneheaded concept that shouldn't even exist. There's good points & bad points about the CBA, this literally one of the bad ones. |
