I knew this. I just wanted to know if you were that guy before kadri43? Or is crosby55587 not on sites anymore? He was always pretty entertaining Nope, kadri43 was my only other name haha kk I just connected "two hockey player names and numbers... could be same guy?" I was hoping it was like the 13 year old version of you or something haha ah well, I hope that guy is also doing well in life. I have a feeling when I'm 60 I'll be talking about random stuff from these sites still.

Wasn't crosby55587 a huge whiner (probably young kid) back then?

Ok who else is who then because now that the box has been open... I've stayed Sandman forever cuz I ain't a personality-changing human being on the internet. I was JagrBombs on C2C as GM of OTT/STL & then created HLS when C2C started losing traction. C2C was my first experience with sim leagues so it was a foundational step that allowed me to build this league the way I envisioned. Regardless of the ups and downs, I have really enjoyed the community we have established with all you regular fuckers. That's crazy that you're relatively new to sim leagues and yet you're running one of the most active ones in quite a long time. Although I wasn't active post-EA for many years so I may have missed some leagues in between then and Coast.

Curious who ruined the league that you think ran it into the ground?
I remember shortly after EA sort of hit its limit, me, Justin and cook got together and tried a few other sites where we could mesh our ideas with cook's simming style. I think my favorite sim league memory, honestly, is trying so many different things and different sites with different ideas over the years with all of you. Regardless of the site's dying (every site created as a life expectancy at some point) they have all been pretty unique and great if they had dedicated simming. If I had more time, I'd still be kicking it here too enjoying the in-depth build this site has to offer.
It's been great just meeting all of you great peeps that I otherwise never would have, so cheers!
Mike... STFU man. You and Justin (mostly) were worse than I was FFS, bugging Cooker and hockfan to change this or do that... It was annoying as fuck. EA never actually hit it's limit, cuz hockeyfan likely just got tired of your bullshit and handed it over, cuz he was fed up with your shit... and less than one season later after that, EA was dead. Yet your overseer there, takes credit on ManMMA for the successes of EA, as if you two clowns actually we're the driving force behind it... 🙄 NEWSFLASH... You weren't! You killed EA... Period. Yes when me and hockeyfan ran it tight, we just wouldn't do any changes if we didn't like it period. I know it pissed people off a lot at times, but when you are the ones putting in all that work if you aren't enjoying yourself it is just pointless to even be doing it anymore. Hockeyfan got himself a girlfriend and that was definitly going to much better than dealing with all the bitching.

I remember when he was on television on the news in Canada because he was in Vegas during that shooting. I’m glad he was OK but that was a pretty scary time.

Thank you for the clarification. I was not on that ea site for like the last 16 seasons lol And I don’t have beef with anyone More lies Mike? ...grow up man. I ran the league nearly as long as Hockey fan lol. The league ended when I needed help running it, it was already dead comparatively, but was basically what we have now. New mgmt wanted to changed everything. Died after 1 season lol

- First sim league Cup win, EA NHL Sims, Season 2 with the Ducks (had Ovechkin, Sakic, Lecavalier, Niedermayer, Johnson, Johnson, Stastny, Svatos, Wolski, Rask - loved that team). - Being inducted into EA NHL Sims Hall of Fame. Huge honour. Especially since I was not Quinn's favourite person at the time. - A member I won't name, of a hockey site I won't mention, offering me a nude of a girl he was seeing if I agreed to trade him a certain player. (Coincidentally, I was going to trade him said player, I did trade him said player, and he did send me the nude). - ManMMA reaching its 8th birthday. Never thought I would see 3 months. (HUGE thank you to anyone here who is or was a member of that site) - Some random league in my early days (around 2006? 2007?) that an unnamed (former?) member of this site deleted on us all because he was mad about fuck knows what (HE KNOWS WHO HE IS, AND FUCK YOU STILL, GUY!). That was the first successful league I was apart of. It was full, active, and things were going great. Great staff, good, consistent simming and everything. I have no idea how said member ended up with delete-powers, but I was very disappointed in that shit for a long time. Still am. (If you are reading this, go piss on your own mother, ass-clown! ) Then there's the real life stuff. - First few voice calls with people I only ever knew as user names. - Becoming outside-of-sim-site acquaintances, or even friends, with people met on sim sites, and experiencing the positive impact we could have on each others lives. - This spot is reserved for when I meet my first sim leaguer in real life. Almost was able to pull this off in March, but Covid fucked everything up, and I was unable to make it to Toronto. It was literally the day before the NHL season was postponed. Was heavily considering going to Toronto to meet up with therealbk, since he was visiting, but yeah. Covid ruined everything. I don't know if he is here, but he's a rock star that I will meet IRL one day. - And very lastly, this. This right here. This whole thread. The fact that pretty much all of us have been a part of this strange cult community for 10-15 years, and are still dabbling in it. And sometimes we are even still able to hook new members into this thing of ours. We all know each other from our previous usernames. We remember those of us who have come and gone. And those of us that are still here, lifetimes later. Even though we are on separate sites, and sometimes were competitors, or whatever else, we are still in this. We have maintained this unique little world for a lifetime. When I started joining and learning about these wacky "sim sites", I was a kid in University. Now I have a kid of my own who is not that far from high school. It's been a really great time getting to know you people, on and off site, and checking in to catch up here and there. Hearing about your life events. Being a part of each others communities, and lives. We have survived, what, 3 generations of gaming consoles? We survived GM Connected! Our strange cult that is the sim site community is this magic world that I absolutely love being a part of. Thank you all for being in this strange little rollercoaster sim world with me. -como/stynn/manmma/Justin/Justine

More lies Mike? ...grow up man. I ran the league nearly as long as Hockey fan lol. The league ended when I needed help running it, it was already dead comparatively, but was basically what we have now. New mgmt wanted to changed everything. Died after 1 season lol I disagree, cuz it wasn't exactly on life support though either. Every sim league goes through about 2 down swings in activity per year during the summer and Xmas. For me, and many others that I've spoken to over the years, it was the handing over the admin account to Justine that ultimately killed EA; Not only symbolically, but literally. Cuz as you eluded to, new "management" (and I do use that term loosely considering who got the admin account 🙄) wanted to change everything but Cook's right, it wasn't broken... And if it ain't broke, don't fix it. 🤷 At that point, it became no longer EA. Cuz I'll admit it, my first tour at EA, I was a complete newb. It was literally my first or second sim league. I didn't quite understand the whole concept of losing of any players for any reason, let alone for the draft, which was ultimately what caused the rift between myself and hockeyfan. It was partly my naiveity of being new, and partly not having it explained to me in a way that made sense. When I came back as Griswold, I had a better grasp of it and how/why it worked the way it did, and was able to build my team in accordance to it cuz I had finally grasped the concept of it, and it was a lot more of an enjoyable experience the 2nd time because of it. That is until Tweedledee and Tweedledum "took over" and started changing shit to their bastardized vision of it. Which folks can agree with or not, it's my opinion of it... So I really also needn't go into too much detail as to what a joke I feel it is, as I did when it happened, that Justin was inducted into the HOF, for effectively killing the league. 😂😂 Especially since he had been handed the admin account by that point too. 🙄
