I know you simmed a league but I can't remember for the life of me what it was called. Bouman started a league called bigtime and I took over for him after he couldnβt sim anymore (he simmed 7 days or something lol) I ended up doing 6-7 seasons or somethingΒ That's the one I was trying to think of... lol

I ran the league nearly as long as Hockey fan lol. The league ended when I needed help running it, it was already dead comparatively, but was basically what we have now. New mgmt wanted to changed everything. Died after 1 season lol I disagree, cuz it wasn't exactly on life support though either. Every sim league goes through about 2 down swings in activity per year during the summer and Xmas. For me, and many others that I've spoken to over the years, it was the handing over the admin account to Justine that ultimately killed EA; Not only symbolically, but literally. Cuz as you eluded to, new "management" (and I do use that term loosely considering who got the admin account π) wanted to change everything but Cook's right, it wasn't broken... And if it ain't broke, don't fix it. π€· At that point, it became no longer EA. Cuz I'll admit it, my first tour at EA, I was a complete newb. It was literally my first or second sim league. I didn't quite understand the whole concept of losing of any players for any reason, let alone for the draft, which was ultimately what caused the rift between myself and hockeyfan. It was partly my naiveity of being new, and partly not having it explained to me in a way that made sense. When I came back as Griswold, I had a better grasp of it and how/why it worked the way it did, and was able to build my team in accordance to it cuz I had finally grasped the concept of it, and it was a lot more of an enjoyable experience the 2nd time because of it. That is until Tweedledee and Tweedledum "took over" and started changing shit to their bastardized vision of it. Which folks can agree with or not, it's my opinion of it... So I really also needn't go into too much detail as to what a joke I feel it is, as I did when it happened, that Justin was inducted into the HOF, for effectively killing the league. ππ Especially since he had been handed the admin account by that point too. π I agree with you, but you said you disagreed and repeated what I said haha. It wasn't on lifesupport on the exterior, but I was the one putting in all the work (outside of simming which was jm) and couldn't handle that responsibility anymore, thus needed help. Which ruined it I guess. It wasn't exactly the same league at that point anyways though

I think I only helped sim one or two leagues. Right around the time when stick and ea were dying out. Bouman was the admin there and then he gave me the admin account for something so I changed the password and kept the main for myself lol. Everyone was scared he was going to delete the league like he did at stick so they were pming me (probably kruze lol jk bud) about getting the main account lol.

Though I didn't say verbatim what you did. lol I think it was the "help" you actually received/accepted, that was the mistake, unfortunately. π€· I know all too well how much work and time it takes to run these things. It's not easy. It's just that, I think anyways, handing over the admin account to anyone, least of all someone who'd been a thorn in the side of said admin, was just sending the wrong message to the site. Then allowing him to basically elect himself to the EA HOF so he can sit here, like he just did, and pat himself on the back, kinda burns me is all. lol Judas just isn't usually that revered, unless your name is Chris Jericho. ππ π ...again, my opinion. π€·

Unfortunately, the two visions clashed and that was that. I'd love to get hockeyfan back and running a league, plus a lot of those core community members we lost, but that's life I guess. We ended up merging two communities (maybe more) and we have what we have today

That guy can talk his way into anything and make it sound like sunshine, lollipops and rainbows when he's actually manipulating things to his own advantage/agenda. π€· It's sickening, really. πππ I wish I had seen it earlier, but I got charmed too... I'm not infallible. π lol Thank you for validating it was both of them though. π I do appreciate that. I would've stepped up then but I wasn't sure who knew Griswold was me, and who didn't, and what kind of shit storm that may have caused for the site. I do agree that we wouldn't have what we have today without meshing the different communities too though. That is the silver lining. π

Some random league in my early days (around 2006? 2007?) that an unnamed (former?) member of this site deleted on us all because he was mad about fuck knows what (HE KNOWS WHO HE IS, AND FUCK YOU STILL, GUY!). That was the first successful league I was apart of. It was full, active, and things were going great. Great staff, good, consistent simming and everything. I have no idea how said member ended up with delete-powers, but I was very disappointed in that shit for a long time. Still am. (If you are reading this, go piss on your own mother, ass-clown! ) Well, is RK17 anybody here? These 2 statements go hand in hand. This was not the person, and this was not the league. The league had some generic name, like "Hockey Sims 2007", you know the kind that literally 20 sites were called. This took place before I met people like rk17. We encountered that half of the sim world years later (I believe). It was this cool, strange "coming together of hardcore communities" feeling, because I did not know people like snaggletooth, oldgreg, rk17 etc existed. They were outside of my circle of people who were the 555887Crosby, Vin, Devilsfan13, Scorch. Nemits, hockeyfan, sorts.

Sorry to interject, but that actually sounds like Poelzer's first foray into simming that failed, of course. π€· ππ I was Columbus in that league. Is that the one?

What was the league that running alongside coast for a bit but then the simmer just randomly stopped showing up?
He started it, it was a little sketchy from the beginning, guy seemed to disappear for a few days at a time and then poof, vanished completely and she died.
