Not sure if I’m offering enough honestly but these guys should all grow, especially Sandin and I get to go for the guy I really want.

It was the best deal offered. I have lots of prospects, I need guys that are young and in the 80s now.

Are draft picks worth a lot?

Carolina Hurricanes GM 2nd overall pick should get you like a 87+ player. Top picks are gold in this league and even Joub knows he’s taking advantage of you lol. That 2nd overall pick will be better than all these guys probably next offseason

Are draft picks worth a lot? The 2nd overall pick is, could easily turn into 92+ player

I don’t get it. Why is this such a horrible deal? So I take Stutzle, and he starts at 80-82. Great. This deal gets me 3 guys in that range, that aren’t old, and aren’t going anywhere. I have prospects and picks for days

Are draft picks worth a lot? Yes if the guy is drafted as an 80 say and he plays in the nhl he auto gets +3 for the next 2 years until he’s 20 so that would minimally bring him to an 86

That 2nd overall pick will be better than all these guys probably next offseason My issue is I wanted to upgrade Kapanen to an 86 this year. Gives me an 86 already, Sandin who I wanted to play which is why I traded Dermott and then Mikheyev who all Leaf fans love lmao

I have prospects and picks for days There are AUTO UPGRADES for every 18-19 year old that plays in the NHL, so if the 2nd overall pick plays 2 full seasons, recording 0 points, he would still be a 88-89+ OA as a 20 year old...now say he performs higher than his OA, then he qill receive additional upgrades too. They could get a max of +14 in two season and be a 94OA 20 year old ...which is why we just saw Draisailt cashed in for 1st none of these guys will get their without manual boosting which takes a lot of season to accomplish, all while trying to avoid downgrades for the same players.

yeah this ones a reject for me. Top picks will hopefully not be quite as OP as they were in the previous era, but Stutzle/Byfield will still likely end up like an 90+ within 3 or 4 seasons. Kapanen/Mikheyev wont improve unless they put up a bunch of points, and Sandin will probably be like an 84 tops unless he plays really well.

I want to be competitive now. Look at the Kings roster, and pipeline. This makes sense for me.

I think it’s a little weak this is getting rejected by so many. This was by far the best offer sent over. So what does that say about other GMs negotiating in good faith?
