It took a lot to bring in a top Defenseman and make it work to get Nolan Patrick. I think it was worth it giving up all that youth. Accepted

Slavin for Connor and Vesalanen
Jokiharju was a throw in just to make this happen.
I have made much bigger offers and got turned down as I was trying to get a top defenseman

I've tried breaking this down multiple times and I can never come to a result where I say this makes sense or it's close to that. Connor and Slavin are equal imo. Connor has two more years of upgrades and Slavin is on a good contract. Vesalainen and Jokiharju = Patrick So the Canes get Strome for free. A different breakdown is Strome and Jokiharju = Slavin Connor = Patrick (I'm iffy on this because I think Patrick won't be an 86 at 21 like Connor is) And the Canes get Vesalainen for free. I get having to overpay sometimes to get what you want but I think this is too big of an overpayment. I'm gonna have to reject |
