Argument for Stamkos. While Stamkos and Smith both had good seasons I’d argue Stamkos’ season was exceptional. Hart trophy voting is not supposed to take into account playoff performance where smith really excelled. His season was again, good not great. Stamkos leading the league in points while being a ridiculous +45 makes his season very deserving of the leagues most valuable player.
