Yeah can only trade away picks that are from this year or next - once the draft happens it opens up the next year round of picks.
This avoids confusion since nobody tracks picks being moved & GMs do not always update their rosters.
Salary Compensation is a different story since it is tracked on a list.
Rejetc/Final *unless that pick is 2021/2022*
