To LW Tomas Hertl SNP 85 - 5.625M UFA 2022 (27) RW Brock Boeser PWF 87 - 8.75M UFA 2025 (23) LD Derek Pouliot OFD 82 - 1.25M UFA 2022 (27) cap: 15.625M To C Josh Wilkins 79 - 1.0M UFA 2023 (23) - MINORS 0.0M RW Jake Virtanen PWF 84 - 2.5M UFA 2024 (24) LD Jonas Brodin TWD 88 - 8.0M UFA 2023 (26) RD Frederic Allard OFD 80 - 1.0M RFA 2022 (23) - MINORS 0.0M LD Lleyton Moor OFD 66 - 0.875M RFA 2023 (19) - JRS 0.0M cap: 10.500M VAN is in desperate need of cap relief, this will clear them 5.125M. LD Brodin will be partners w/fellow Swede RD Karlsson for years to come in VAN, allowing Bertuzzi-Scheifele-Caufield to thrive. Virtanen makes a comeback to VAN on a team friendly deal. VAN also needs to move on from any reminder of the Hertl trade. MIN is in desperate need of scoring & Kaprizov-Kunin-Boeser will no doubt be a threat in a tough wild West. Hertl provides a consistent scoring touch needed for young C Kaut development, while Pouliot is a nice stopgap LD MIN can utilize. Moor & Wilkins are positional prospects that MIN have a surplus of & VAN are lacking. Both teams are in needs of each others assets. RW Boeser is sitting on VAN 2nd line behind RW Caufeild, while LD Brodin is 2nd pairing behind the newly upgraded LD Valimaki. Both get top line mins & better suited environments to flourish. BREAKDOWN Virtanen = Hertl Brodin + Moor = Boeser Allard + Wilkins = Pouliot
