This deal took a lot of negotiating but we feel like it's the best deal for both teams moving forward. I didn't want to move the 2nd...but this trade should help us get better quicker, but we still stay young.

It hurts my soul to move 2 of my top line players, but the youth movement must continue. Knyazev would've ended up being buried in the minors due to our depth, hence why he's part of this deal.
We believe this year's second overall pick will give us a player to build around.

Minnesota accepts and is excited to be selecting #2 and #3 at this years draft.
