I'm not American, but I think the majority of us have been following their politics for quite sometime, especially in the wake of Trump. This new Democratic nominee, Andrew Yang, seems to be giving some hope for the future and talks about issues that seemingly, other politicians aren't even aware of yet. He isn't super high on the ballot as of yet, but has been steadily climbing up. He's went from unheard of to 6th in polling. He's statistically has the least amount of 'mentions' on National TV, resulting in poor national coverage, including only speaking twice in the first Democratic Debate, which lasted 2 and a half hours. No matter your politics or ideology, I suggest giving this guy a chance and at least listening to what he has to say. He seems to come from facts, instead of generalities and deflecting questions.

Think he is one of the more undervalued candidates on the Left & its great to see him gain some traction but he doesn't play the Dems games so he won't be going too far this election. Besides, Yang should be a Republican considering his past w/ big tech & his support for a "Human-Centred Capitalism" & plus the Left is too ignorant for his idealisms. They made a big deal that the guy was not wearing a tie instead of dissecting his fundamentals on climate change, reducing student debt, reducing mass incarceration, Data as a property rights & so on. The guy really has a good head on his shoulders & can stay composed but think he is still ages away from being Dems candidate, let alone President due to the party politics.
Think the Left loses again cause they will still put forth Harris or Biden as their candidate.
P.S. Think Tulsi is the future of Dems cause she will be able to gain support from the Right due to her Military connection

We’re in a new age where the people can really push through who they want, just needs exposure. edit - but i agree with all your points, if he doesn't win. Although I do like Sanders

In most political landscapes I would agree, but don’t sleep on the power of the internet. We’re in a new age where the people can really push through who they want, just needs exposure. In a way. Unfortunately the Left run social media, so places like Facebook, Instagram & Twitter are all subjectively bias towards Left politics. That being said, Yang doesn't play the party game, which makes him a great leader but hurts his chances of ever getting the ok from the Dem establishment. Think its evident of last three election cycles that no matter what voting individuals want, it will always be a coalition of few elites dictating the outcome of the many. Yang will drift toward Libertarian or Republican in the next decade imo. He is too fundamentally sound to be a caricature for Dems when they need a someone who will yield personal values for mass idealisms. Kamala Harris fits their bill too perfectly & will be pushed to lead even though she is unfit to do so. Glad to see candidates like Yang & Gabbard on the Left though, shaking up the unfortunate side of identity politics & getting us back down to reality.

He's more of a Democratic with his policies than a Republican though, he just believes it makes sense to achieve the goals through regulated capitalism. Imo, it would be best to not even use either word and just create a new term with the ideas of a regulated capitalism, where your income doesn't start at 0. I honestly don't think Biden will win at this stage, he was a mess at the climate change town hall debate. That was really eye opening.

Yeah right now I agree, but think he shifts in the next decade unless Dems foundation shifts too. Man did you see how poorly Biden is handling himself lately? He grabbed some girl in a crowd by the arm after she asked him to identify all the genders & told her not to test him hahah one thing I love to see is the Left just devour themselves with their own identity politics. & definitely agree with the removal of sides, but we are human & primal instinct will always lead us to tribalism. Thats why most sports, if not all, have one team vs one team. We love to pick sides as a species. Unfortunately politics is just another game, played on the biggest field with the biggest stakes.

My dream ticket is Sanders/Gabbard.
I think Bernie beats Trump by a landslide, and if he takes Tulsi's foreign policy its best of both worlds.
