Pfff Svechnikov. Was still a minus with all those points,
Tippet got 46 points and was a +23 as a freekin 77!
Cody Glass is equally as impressive!

That's what Svech is for, he's the main piece.

How is Gusev not a candidate? 40 goals and 67 points!

50 point Dman in his first season as an 18 year old, that's pretty impressive to me. Especially since he finished +6 on a non-playoff team. Definitely Carolina's MVP and soon to be captain

I'm also just curious why these players receive an extra boost? Didn't there amazing production already boost them enough?

I'm also just curious why these players receive an extra boost? Didn't there amazing production already boost them enough? Just an extra incentive to boost activity and give you more credibility if you play a player in the right system. Wanted to do an incentive based on total standings too but theres just too much additional boosts if that happens, so keeping it short and significant by just doing an additional 5. Downgrades are a little harder here so this will surely keep the Elite players Elite and if they don't live up to their OA in the following season, then they will be hit with the D So just going to do it like this every year, allowing GMs to decide who deserves what while also creating a little competitive dialogue. Plus everyone wants to see the results of these polls...I know I do.

Svech had an amazing year, but 50 points and +6 by a rookie d-man is pretty incredible.
That's the 2nd most points all-time by a rookie d-man, behind only Phil Housley, and ahead of Bobby Orr who would be 3rd.

Remember, Dahlin had 50 points while missing 5 games....could've had 60! lol
