NJD need to clear cap & G Korenar is the perfect starting G to take over for the declining Hellebuyck. W/ the emergence of newly drafted RD Grant, pending 2025 UFA RD Ekblad becomes expendable leaving NJD with no plans to resign him in 2025. STL are in desperate need of a TOP 4 RD & have cap to spare while also focusing their G development on newly drafted G Munther & no plans to sign G Korenar. Both teams needs are met while making use of expendable assets.
