Here's a crazy idea.

We get free upgrades every offseason. This is fantastic. Almost too good to be true.

What if you had to choose between the MPU/AMPU upgrades and keeping a booster pick or two?

Reason? It's almost too easy to continue to upgrade guys for free. It's a Santa's gift every offseason.

My proposal:

If you choose to use your 6 MPU points, you lose your 4th round booster pick.

If you choose to use your 6 AMPU points, you lose your 5th round booster pick.

If you choose to use both, you lose the 4th and 5th.

Why? It adds an interesting element. Makes it more difficult to use these freebie points.

Yeah its going to be a hard no for me.

Takes enough skill and roster management to develop a young prospect into something that is elite by using AMPU.

MPU is a different story. GMs should have complete control on who should have accelerated potential after MLUs. Plus the restriction of loosing MLUs after upgrading any prospect over 78OA with AMPUs puts pressure on GMs to make the right decisions and not wash away a prospects potential but rather maximize it instead..

Also, keep in mind there has only been one full season completed on here and the league is naturally levelling itself out as you may have noticed already.

ie. VGK,NYI,TOR have all made full use of their AMPUs last season to maximize their prospects potential and generate higher MLUs by playing their Prospects in a correct system.

Overall, think subtracting boosters or any form of Upgrades depletes the league rather than adds to it

Dig the suggestion though so keep them coming!
