Think goalie downgrades need to be revamped, 3 of these guys received downgrades and are up for the Vezina They have been, we're using the updated standards going forward but that's after the goalies were downgraded right? how difficult would it be to look at the problematic shift of goaltender ratings and adjust it back now before the season? |

It will be implemented next season, not back tracking any upgrades or downgrades |

But that's what I'm getting at. If the upgrades/downgrades were clearly flawed, and you and the league have noticed this within basically 24 hours of entering the off-season, why not just correct the problem and move forward immediately? Why do we have to stick with something that is wrong and was only implemented in the last day at the cost of an entire season if flawed goaltender overalls?

Why do we have to stick with something that is wrong and was only implemented in the last day at the cost of an entire season if flawed goaltender overalls? Valid point for sure, however, its like when the league changed goalie pads irl. They can't go back the previous season and test to see if their changes work - they let the following seasons dictate the outcome and keep adjusting from there on out. |

I get what you're saying, but you have vezina nominated goaltenders that got downgraded. If something like that happens, given the amount of shoddy goaltending that already exists, complimented by good goaltenders on bad teams likely going to struggle, then why be as critical on their assessments as all other positions?
