THERE WILL NOW BE AN AHL SIMMED SEASON & CALDER CUP
There have been some important changes made
-AHL season will be simmed w. BOX SCORES ONLY* simultaneously with the NHL season
-INJURIES WILL BE TURNED OFF
-GMs can set lines for their AHL REGULAR SEASON or CALDER CUP PLAYOFFS
-AHL SSTANDINGS will be posted each month (there will be NO AHL STATS posted)
-The first 3 CALDER CUP PLAYOFF rounds will be simmed w/BOXSCORES ONLY, followed by the CALDER CUP FINALS simmed with REGULAR box score
-The WINNER of the CALDER CUP will receive an additional +1 MPU/+1 APU to use towards any player(s) that offseason
-There will also be AHL AWARDS posted that would NOT be voted on but would reflect whatever the game picks.
-THERE WILL BE CHANGES TO ROSTER QUALIFICATIONS (AHL = 12 FWDs, 6 D & 2 G AT ALL TIMES)
-NHL TEAMS that miss the NHL PLAYOFFS will still be required to have a FULL NHL ROSTER (NHL = 12 FWDs, 6 D & 2 G) during the AHL playoff sims.
*Since we are only couple real life days away from the playoffs/offseason, the AHL season will be quick simmed this season only* (every following season will have a parallel NHL/AHL season simmed simultaneously with BOXSCORES ONLY*)
We will be handing out a 2023 Calder Cup this year!

I think it is all just a waste of time, yours and ours. I'm not managing an AHL team for Calgary and Tampa as I really don't care what they do. I don't think every team is going to have 12 forwards and 6 defensemen in the AHL

I agree with Cooker. I don't want to sound like a dick, but I personally won't be paying much attention to this, especially if their stats don't reflect the minor league upgrades

I like it.
I'd make the suggestion that the top 3-5 point producers in the AHL should get a bigger upgrade on top of the extra APU/MPU points we get.
A little extra incentive for those who don't want to pay attention.

A little extra incentive for those who don't want to pay attention. Or maybe something like; Top 3 F Top 3 D Top 3 G Get a boost. Say, +3 or something or along those lines. I mean, this is getting closer to a real NHL GM experience. Those who build solid AHL teams and develop their players should be rewarded in some capacity. |

Yeah I think Sandman's idea is good. If the stats are already available in season mode, and you're solely posting standing updates, I think its fine. I wouldn't bother updating the standings as much as the NHL standings though. Just want to save you work

Yeah I think Sandman's idea is good. If the stats are already available in season mode, and you're solely posting standing updates, I think its fine. I wouldn't bother updating the standings as much as the NHL standings though. Just want to save you work Maybe a standings + stats update every 2 months? Or 3 months? Would that work potentially and not be a lot of work on boss dude? |

Would that work potentially and not be a lot of work on boss dude? Standing will be posted every month (only takes me 1-2 mins of work) Stats are much harder & take up more time/space here. So what I can do as a sort of compromise, is track top 5 F, top 5 D and top 5 G through out the entire season (like how ROOKIE LEADERS are tracked without a screenshot attachment) and at the END OF THE SEASON, post full screenshots of every 31 teams AHL PLAYER STATS Would just need to make room for more attachments since we are operating at 98% capacity right now. Meaning I have to delete a lot of the past eras stats history, which sucks for you guys if you want to look up past shit on here. However I keep track of EVERY SINGLE STAT from EVERY ERA on my computer so nothing is deleted forever. So if you guys are willing to make that sacrifice, I am game. Also, think COACHES should be involved at the AHL level, allowing GMs to hire lower grade coaches and develop them into NHL calibre coaches (like Keefe developing with Marlies to eventually be Leafs coach) Give the ADMINS the rest of this season to come up with an AHL scoring system that will reflect AHL PERFORMANCE and we can use it for UPGRADES/DOWNGRADES so this holds weight for player development Hows that sound? |

I mean, it adds another layer or development here. Think about it, that 20/21 year old that isn't quite good enough for the NHL could get a BIG increase in the minors from having a solid season rather than a "luck of the draw" upgrade. You'd be giving your 2nd rounders and late 1st rounders a better opportunity to develop and the APU's would become more important. If some of you aren't willing to put in work, I certainly will take advantage and win the next 7 stanley cups and 21 calder cups  |

way too much for me to try and run two teams doing all of this, I will try to figure out which team will be my one team in the off season. I am glad if it will be amazing for most of you guys, but it is just way too much and way to confusing for me to even think about doing 2 teams doing all the AHL and All Star stuff also. Sorry, I don't mean to offend anybody. Just too much for me  |
