Actually, hold on. I recall seeing talk earlier about a player who waives their NMC to get traded, does that mean they still have their NMC? (Kreider waived to come to NSH last season so would he no longer have those rights?).
*Also retainment is on the original team, NYR.

(Kreider waived to come to NSH last season so would he no longer have those rights?). Yes - the only way a player will relieve his NTC/NMC is if the GM asks him to do so in the trade. So if you ask him to waive to your team, that is different than saying waive to my team and give up your NMC/NTC rights as well That didn't happen in the NSH-NYR deal so Kreider retained his NMC after waiving for NSH That being said Kessel waives for NSH Kreider coming off a cup in NSH has no desire to waive to team that didn't make playoffs Unfortunately , Reject/Final
