To C Markus Granlund TWF 80 - 2.75M UFA 2022 (27) LW Linus Omark PLY 81 - 3.0M UFA 2021 (33) RD Philippe Myers TWD 84 - 4.25M UFA 2024 (23) G Michael Neuvirth HYB 82 - 1.5M UFA 2022 (32) To C Derek Stepan PLY 84 - 6.5M UFA 2021 (30) - [SJS retains 50% ->2021. 3.25M hit] G Anton Forsberg HYB 80 - 1.0M UFA 2022 (27) 4th 2020 (+2) SJS technically wins this, but its a huge WIN-WIN trade for both teams NEEDS - TOR cuts necessary cap to get under while SJS gets young RD Myers & rounds out their BOTTOM 6 w/Granlund/Omark & upgrades their backup G role to a consistent presence in Neuvirth until their G prospect is NHL ready. BREAKDOWN Stepan + retention = Myers + Omark Forsberg + 4th(+2) = Neuvirth + Granlund Both & HAPPILY ACCEPT

the retention isn't needed in this. SJS is already taking on a lot of cap in this trade

the retention isn't needed in this. SJS is already taking on a lot of cap in this trade Luckily they have 15+M in cap space with only one need - TOP 4 RD -> a role which Myer provides for a long time. Retention for 1 season is needed for this trade to be completed plus moving Stepan allows SJS to play their top Prospect C Kupari PLY 79 instead of having him in the minors.

I’ll accept yours if you accept mine lol Only accept mine if you deem its fair. I won't put my opinion on peoples trades until its final or I see a reason to reject right away - I carry too much bias being an Admin so I always wait for the community to gauge value before I input my suggestion last minute.

Most people get something in return for taking on that much. Reject all the way

SJS will only have an increase of 7.25M in cap after this trade is processed, leaving them with a fully functional team and 7.800M in cap space before FA and no needs except to draft higher this year and next. I nullify you rejection based on negligence.

I have always accepted or rejected trades based on cap and overalls. Being the 1M in cap is close to or equal to 1 overall in rating. I don't see him getting much in return for 10.5 M

Thanks for the input though cause your opinion is highly valued due to activity, however we will let the community decide the outcome from here on.

Ok Rejected and yes my math is exact. It is even explained for you. The 3.25 retention is counted against his cap also. It doesn't just disappear. This is a joke. But you do make for good entertainment, Thank You If you would like me to explain the rest for I can do that also. It is pretty simple and the same way leagues have been run for 15 years now.

OH MY FUCK
2.75 3.00 4.25 1.50 ----- 11.50 -> what SJS receives
3.25 1.00 ----- 4.25M -> what TOR receives
11.50 (SJS) - 4.25 (TOR) = 7.25
Therefore SJS only takes on 7.25M cap. So I have no idea what logic you are using but its incoherently wrong Cook and I suggest you take a look at it in the morning
Also take into account Omark and Granlunds production before you deem them liabilities. They performed better than Dal Colle, Kapanen & Hartman, while receiving 4th line mins and being lower OAs than the prior.
Omark -> GP: 80 G: 24 A: 15 PTS: 39 +/-: +21 PIM: 8
Granlund -> GP: 82 G: 12 A: 24 PTS: 36 +/-: +22 PIM: 0

You need to add the 3.25M retention from Stepan cause that will go against their cap.

Guys....
Stepan contract is 6.5M. SJS is retaining 50%. SJS is only moving out 3.25M of his total 6.5M hit. The remaining 3.25M stays on SJS roster to count against the cap. This is already been applied which is why there is only 3.25M cap moving to TOR. The cap difference is still 7.25M heading towards SJS
Its so damn simple my head might explode
