Hey all,
I think we need to look at the buyouts and how they work.
Currently a buyout is only 1/4 of the contract, whereas 1/3 for waivers, giving a bit more of a punishment if you decide to keep the player.
I am fine with how the waivers work, but I think we should look at the buyouts and make them similar to the NHL: If you buyout a player, you are responsible for paying that buyout for whatever the length of his contract is multiplied by 2.
For example: If I bought out Ryan Kesler - 8M UFA 2021. It would cost me 2M for the rest of the year.
However, I think, with the buyout, it should be 2M for 2 more years (2022).

nah. its so hard to trade that waivers is the only way to make changes sometimes. with money hungry players and a flat cap we dont need anymore shitty handi-caps lol
