Might have a 24 hour hold, just need Minnesota Wild GM approval. Barkov was a huge piece of the puzzle for us, but we're heading in a new direction and feel that a 1/2 in the future of Lundell/Bolduc puts us in a good spot. We accept.

Just so you're aware there are max upgrades for players. Bolduc can only receive a +6 max as an 18 year old, +5 max at 19 and +3 max onwards.

I still think we're getting great value out of this deal and picking up some pieces we can move at the TDL.

A bunch of crap and a couple decent players in Strome and Kravstov isn't nearly enough for Barkov

Pretty good deal for FLA imo, plus Barkov is coming off a Downgrade. Personally I wouldnt give that much up for Barkov especially if I had to take on Hornvqist and give up so much of my future. Barkov is pending UFA might not even sign with CHI. Also thought CHI was running with Dach as their first line C anyways?
Can see it break down like this though
Barkov + Hornqvist (negatie value) = Strome + Kravstov + Bolduc + 1st + 1st
Vatrano = Wallmark
Stralman (negative value) = Krutil

He definitely got unlucky with his TWF stats to get a downgrade. Sure he got a -1 but on an actually good team he could be one of the best players in the league

The Huberdeau deal is relatively the same, and FLA is even retaining on Hub for a year, plus Hub is guaranteed at least 2 seasons in CBJ since he expires in 2023, while Barkov is an expiring deal. Not too mention Hub is 90 and Barkov is 89. Both deals for Barkov/Hub are almost mirrored L'Heureux = Bolduc Texier = Kravstov CBJ 1st = CHI 1st Foudy + Robertson = (Hornqvist & Stralman negative value) + CHI 1st + Krutil + Wallmark

Huberdeau is a couple years older and I think the pieces there are better and will sim better as well. Since you made the cap 89M, the "negative value" from the other contracts mean a lot less since Chicago clearly cares more about the roster spots

I've accepted both. To assume players will sim better is not trade value either, the pieces FLA get from CHI put up way more PTS than the pieces FLA got from CBJ so its all relative.

The way I looked at it was Strome is a rental that I'll be moving to get more picks, so essentially it could end up being another 1st and prospect

I mean I think both trades don't have the value for Florida considering the pieces he's getting could easily not pan out without some kind of veteran presence since they're mostly like 80s at 21. Obviously it's his choice to do this, but normally when a guy just joins a league and does trades like these, they get rejected. This happened in the previous era and in Rock'em so it just confuses me why this is allowed here, now

He's been in these leagues for years and know how they work (for the most part). I would deem him as a vet.
