Pittsburgh Penguins GM, Anisimov is on waivers and hasn't cleared yet. A team can still technically claim him. You need to put Santini on waivers to send him to the minors.

Pittsburgh Penguins GM, are you allowed to send Santini and Anisimov to the minors? You should get confirmation from Player Rep/ Minnesota Wild GM. You have 1 buried contract and retained salary on 2 other contracts. You might have to buy out the players instead of sending them to the minors.

You can send whoever to the minors as long as they don’t have a NMC. You just can’t retain on more than 3 contracts, but having someone in the minors does not count as retention

They are over 24 yrs old and make over 1M, so it counts against the cap. That's why I tagged Minny to get clarification. Doesn't change the trade, just changes what Caps needs to do once the trade goes thru.

I was told they were before, I had to let players go before because of it

They have to go through waivers, but they can be sent there So you can send as many contracts to the minors as you want? They don't count towards the 3 retained salaries you are allowed to have? They aren’t retentions, they’re AHL cap hits that go against the salary cap.

They aren’t retentions, they’re AHL cap hits that go against the salary cap. Fuck, I got screwed last season then Again - Every GM has 3 buyouts and 3 retentions they can carry each season. If you have a player in minors, & its not a buyout, then their hit needs to count towards the cap at 33.33% of their regular hit. If its a buyout, then their cap hit is 25.00%. Please review this rule section Roster Qualifications: hockleague.freeforums.net/thread/45/roster-qualifications-coachesthe section at the top that says " -TEAMS CAN ONLY carry 3 SALARY RETENTIONS at ONCE (max retention amount is 50% each contract)
-TEAMS CAN ONLY carry 3 BUY-OUTS at ONCE - (DOES NOT INCLUDE COMP. B/O)" Will ALSO be added to this rule section to avoid anymore confusion -> hockleague.freeforums.net/thread/40/contracts-waivers-outs-free-agency
