I think we should only reject trades when it’s a newby losing the deal. Otherwise we’re micromanaging other people’s teams. Perky knows what he’s doing and if he thinks that this move helps his team in the long run then that’s his decision to make, not ours.
Our job is to stop cheating and to not allow a newby to be swindled when they don’t know the rules or how the league works. Avs and Philly are neither cheaters or newbies so their deal should not have any issues going through.

I traded Olofsson for more than this and that didn’t affect the value that Avs got for Boeser. You think the NHL stops a bad trade from happening? It’s unrealistic for us to stop trades even if they’re bad. Protecting new GMs is one thing but I think micromanaging other teams because you don’t like the deal is something that we shouldn’t be doing. Avs and Philly both know what they’re doing. |
